PTE Academic Overview

The PTE, or Pearson Test of English, is a computer-based exam that cannot be taken on paper like the IELTS. However, it assesses a candidate's proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing English, just like any other English language test would. Your responses will be compared to those of thousands of other responses by PTE's artificial intelligence to assess your English ability, and you will be given a score in accordance. The Global Scale of English (GSE) is used to mark the exam, and scores can range from 10 to 90.

Which countries accept PTE Academic?

It has the endorsement of a number of universities, including those in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Since the test is computer-based and center-based, its validity is undeniable.

PTE Test Format:

PTE can be divided essentially into three categories. In the first part of the test, speaking and writing are assessed together, whereas reading and listening are assessed independently. Due to the fact that the first section includes two skill evaluations, it takes around an hour to complete. Together, the next two segments last an additional hour.
