IELTS GENERAL TRAINING
Asian Education Consultants - AEC > IELTS GENERAL TRAINING

English language proficiency in a practical setting is assessed by IELTS General Training. The test's tasks are designed to assess how well the candidate can use English to communicate in social and professional settings. The test is divided into four sections: speaking, reading, writing, and listening.
The exam's 60-minute Reading section assesses a candidate's ability to comprehend a range of sources, including academic literature. The exam's 60-minute Writing section gauges a candidate's writing ability. The candidate will be given two writing assignments: Task 1 will be a formal or an informal letter, and Task 2 will be an essay on a preset topic. The 40-minute Listening section of the test assesses a candidate's ability to understand spoken English in a formal or informal setting. Speaking is a face-to-face test that assesses a candidate's ability to communicate in general English. The test, which lasts between 11 and 14 minutes, is given by a certified IELTS examiner.
